Is Resonance on Game Pass? PC, Xbox & Cloud (2026)

The official confirmation

Xbox Wire listed Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy in August 2026 Game Pass Wave 2 as a day-one release. Its listing names Cloud, Xbox Series X|S, Handheld and PC, available with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.

Focus Entertainment's launch announcement also confirms Xbox Play Anywhere support. That is separate from Steam ownership and does not make a PlayStation copy part of Game Pass.

Catalogs can change. This page was checked against that official announcement, but open your own Game Pass library before relying on availability in your region.

Game Pass vs buying on Steam or PS5

Game Pass covers the Xbox and PC (Xbox app) versions only. If you want the game on Steam for your permanent library, or on PlayStation 5, those are separate purchases at full price.

For a narrative adventure, the calculus is simple: subscribers can play it through Game Pass; buyers who want it permanently on Steam should watch for the first sale — Focus titles discount regularly.

• Subscriber: play now — it may leave the catalog eventually, as all titles can.
• Steam buyer: wishlist it and wait for a sale if not in a hurry.
• PS5: no subscription route — purchase required.
